Steve Roels is a conservation biologist and restoration ecologist living in Lowell, Michigan. He holds a PhD in Environmental Science and Policy from Michigan State University. His scientific work has been published in journals including Restoration Ecology and Avian Conservation and Ecology. Other writings have been featured in God and Nature magazine and the journal Science. He and his wife attend First Congregational Church of Lowell, an open and affirming Christian community.
