John Bernbaum

John A. Bernbaum is a Christian educator who has worked with educational institutions in Russia and Ukraine since 1990. He served as president of the Russian American Christian University in Moscow (1995-2014) and was the founder and director of the American Studies Program and executive vice-president of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (1976-1995). After completing his Ph.D. in European and Russian history at the University of Maryland, he spent four years at the U. S. Department of State. His commentaries on Ukraine, Russia, and international relations can be found on Substack. He and Philip Yancey recently co-authored What Went Wrong?  Russia’s Lost Opportunity and the Path to Ukraine
