Longtime blogger here on The Twelve, Theresa Latini, was named the first president of United Lutheran Seminary, with campuses in Philadelphia and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, earlier this week.
Dr. Latini has been serving as professor of practical theology and pastoral care at Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan. She will officially begin her presidential duties on July 1, 2017, which is also the inaugural date of United Lutheran Seminary, a consolidation of two historic Lutheran seminaries.
Theresa was one of the original twelve bloggers here and wrote faithfully for many years. No doubt the ULS search committee was impressed by all of Theresa’s prodigious gifts and accomplishments, but we wonder if perhaps it wasn’t her work here on The Twelve that cinched the deal.
All the best to you, President-elect Latini!
Congratulations!
So which one of you is the editor?! I have a good guess!
Thanks for these gracious words and for making me laugh.
Congratulations Theresa!
